About the role

Silverline Labs is revamping a legacy production platform to achieve zero‑downtime releases. We need an Android Developer to extend the existing app, refactor core modules, and integrate modern tooling while keeping the current user base uninterrupted.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and refactor legacy code for performance and stability
• Implement new features using Kotlin and Jetpack libraries
• Set up CI pipelines for automated testing and zero‑downtime deployments
• Collaborate with backend engineers to ensure API compatibility
• Write unit and UI tests to maintain high reliability

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with Kotlin and Java on Android
• Proven track record modernizing legacy Android codebases
• Familiarity with MVVM, Coroutines, and Android Jetpack
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies

Nice to have

• Experience with Compose and modern UI frameworks
• Knowledge of Gradle Kotlin DSL and dependency injection
