About the role

Vertex Analytics is launching a focused sprint to accelerate releases through CI/CD and platform automation. We need an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and fine‑tune pipelines that enable rapid, reliable deployments across our data‑intensive services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain end‑to‑end CI/CD pipelines using AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, and CodeDeploy.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with CloudFormation or Terraform, emphasizing repeatable environments.
• Containerize applications with Docker and orchestrate them on ECS/EKS for seamless scaling.
• Implement automated testing, linting, and security scans within the pipeline.
• Collaborate with developers to refactor legacy scripts into reusable modules.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with AWS services (IAM, S3, Lambda, CloudWatch).
• Proficiency in Docker containerization and image lifecycle management.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles, CI/CD tooling, and automation.
• Linux system administration and scripting expertise.

Nice to have

• Experience with serverless architectures.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows.
