Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately prepare and maintain financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger accounts.
  • Perform data entry tasks, such as entering invoices, payments, and journal entries into our accounting system.
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements to ensure accuracy and identify any discrepancies.
  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Analyze financial data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Develop and implement process enhancements to improve financial efficiency and productivity.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to our clients, responding to their financial inquiries and resolving any issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Collaborate with our accounting team to ensure seamless financial operations and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including budget variance reports and financial analysis.
  • Identify and resolve any financial discrepancies or errors, ensuring that our financial records are accurate and reliable.
  • Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information with discretion.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and regulations, applying this knowledge to our financial practices.
  • Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Proficiency in accounting software, such as QuickBooks or Xero, and Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with our team and clients.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to maintain accurate and up-to-date records.
  • High level of confidentiality and discretion, with the ability to handle sensitive financial information.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles, including financial statements and budgeting.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to new financial software and systems.
  • Certificate in bookkeeping or accounting, such as the Certified Bookkeeper (CB) designation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and resolve financial discrepancies or errors.
