Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll
- Reconcile bank statements and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
- Process financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and journal entries
- Analyze and interpret financial data, providing insights and recommendations to management
- Develop and implement financial management systems and processes, to improve efficiency and effectiveness
- Collaborate with our team of accountants and financial analysts, to provide high-quality financial services to our clients
- Prepare and submit tax returns, and ensure compliance with tax regulations
- Develop and maintain financial models, to forecast revenue and expenses
- Provide training and support to junior staff members, to develop their financial management skills
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, to protect the company's assets and interests
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information, with discretion and professionalism
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or related field, with a minimum of 2 years of experience in financial management
- Proficient in accounting software, including QuickBooks and Xero
- Strong knowledge of financial regulations, including tax laws and compliance requirements
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with a wide range of stakeholders
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage workload
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification, an asset
- Experience working in a virtual team environment, with remote collaboration and communication tools
