About the role

NexGen Media is expanding its digital content platform and needs a PHP Developer to enhance core features and ensure scalability. You will work closely with product and design teams to translate requirements into clean, maintainable code.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain PHP applications using Laravel framework
• Design, optimize, and manage MySQL databases
• Implement RESTful APIs for internal and external services
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure code quality
• Collaborate in code reviews and contribute to best‑practice guidelines

Must-have skills

• 2+ years of professional PHP development
• Strong experience with Laravel
• Proficient in MySQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of version control (Git)

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or containerization
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of front‑end basics (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
