About the role

We are building a robust data pipeline to feed analytics for operations teams. As a PostgreSQL Administrator you will ensure the database layer is reliable, performant, and ready for scaling.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement, and tune PostgreSQL clusters for high‑throughput data ingestion
• Automate backup, recovery, and replication strategies
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate PostgreSQL with streaming pipelines
• Monitor performance metrics and resolve bottlenecks proactively
• Document schema changes and maintain data governance standards

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Strong SQL optimization and indexing expertise
• Experience with Linux/Unix administration and scripting
• Familiarity with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka)

Nice to have

• Knowledge of MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database reporting
• Exposure to cloud managed PostgreSQL services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
• Understanding of CI/CD for database changes
