About the role

We are overhauling the performance and reliability of our customer‑facing services. As a Python Backend Developer you will help redesign core APIs, reduce latency, and ensure uptime under peak load.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor existing Django services for higher throughput
• Implement async processing where appropriate
• Optimize PostgreSQL queries and indexes
• Introduce comprehensive monitoring and alerting
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams to align release cycles

Must-have skills

• Strong Python experience, especially with Django
• Design and build RESTful APIs
• Proficient in PostgreSQL schema design and tuning
• Understanding of performance profiling tools

Nice to have

• Familiarity with async frameworks like FastAPI or aiohttp
• Experience with containerization (Docker)
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for Python projects
