About the role

Orbit Labs is preparing a major product launch and needs to boost its test automation suite. The Python Backend Developer will design and extend automated regression tests to cut risk and speed up release cycles.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain robust Python test frameworks for backend services
• Create reusable fixtures and data generators for PostgreSQL
• Integrate tests into CI pipelines and generate clear reports
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to identify high‑risk areas
• Document test strategies and best practices

Must-have skills

• Strong Python programming experience
• Proficiency with Django and REST API testing
• Hands‑on with PostgreSQL schema and data handling
• Familiarity with CI tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)

Nice to have

• Experience with pytest or unittest extensions
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• Background in performance testing
