About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Python Backend Developer to reinforce authentication flows, encrypt data at rest, and tighten API access controls while keeping performance optimal.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Django services for security gaps and implement mitigations
• Design and integrate token‑based authentication and role‑based access
• Apply encryption standards to PostgreSQL storage and backups
• Refactor REST endpoints to enforce least‑privilege principles
• Write automated tests covering new security features
• Collaborate with DevOps to update CI pipelines for security scans

Must-have skills

• Strong Python and Django experience
• Deep understanding of REST API security patterns
• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and data encryption
• Familiarity with OWASP guidelines and cloud security best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS security services
• Knowledge of container security (Docker, Kubernetes)
