About the role

BrightMart Solutions is launching a new e‑commerce platform and needs a REST API Developer to lead test automation uplift. The focus is on reducing regression risk before each release, ensuring high‑quality endpoints for critical shopping flows.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement automated API tests using NodeJS and JavaScript.
• Integrate test suites with CI pipelines to run on every pull request.
• Collaborate with QA and product teams to identify high‑risk scenarios.
• Maintain test data in PostgreSQL and ensure test isolation.
• Document test cases, results, and coverage metrics.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building and testing RESTful APIs.
• Proficiency in NodeJS, JavaScript, and PostgreSQL.
• Hands‑on knowledge of test frameworks (e.g., Mocha, Jest, SuperTest).
• Understanding of CI/CD integration for automated testing.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with API contract testing tools like Pact.
• Experience with Dockerized test environments.
• Background in performance testing of APIs.
