About the role

Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a CI/CD Pipeline Engineer to design, implement, and fortify the deployment pipelines, ensuring compliance and resilience across AWS environments.

Key responsibilities

• Architect secure CI/CD workflows using GitLab/GitHub Actions.
• Integrate static code analysis, secret scanning, and compliance checks.
• Containerize services with Docker and orchestrate deployments on Kubernetes.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning with Terraform and AWS native tools.
• Collaborate with security and development teams to remediate findings.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years building CI/CD pipelines for cloud applications.
• Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and AWS services.
• Experience embedding security controls into DevOps processes.
• Proficiency with IaC tools (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Strong scripting in Bash or Python.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Snyk, Checkov, or similar security scanners.
• Experience with service mesh security (Istio, Linkerd).
• Certifications such as AWS DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator.
