About the role

NexGen Media is launching a new streaming platform and needs a Database Administrator to uplift test automation. You will design and implement automated regression checks that safeguard data integrity before each release.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated database test suites for regression coverage
• Integrate test pipelines with CI/CD tools to trigger on code commits
• Monitor and troubleshoot data‑related failures during test runs
• Document test cases, results, and remediation steps for the engineering team
• Collaborate with developers to embed best‑practice data validation in code

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL administration
• Proven experience building test automation for databases
• Strong scripting skills (Python, Bash, or PowerShell)
• Familiarity with CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerized database deployments
• Experience with performance tuning in high‑load environments
