Senior Database Administrator Needed for Database Migration Initiative

About the role

Silverline Labs is extending its B2B SaaS platform with a robust multi-tenant architecture. We need a Database Administrator to design, implement, and fine‑tune the data layer that will support isolated tenant workloads while preserving performance and security.

Key responsibilities

• Design schema changes to enable tenant isolation and scaling
• Configure and manage PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL clusters for high availability
• Implement automated backup, restore, and disaster‑recovery processes
• Monitor performance metrics and apply indexing, partitioning, or sharding as needed
• Collaborate with developers to optimize queries and data access patterns
• Document database standards, procedures, and tenant onboarding steps

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Deep understanding of multi‑tenant design patterns and security controls
• Experience with automated provisioning and CI/CD pipelines for databases
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to write clear documentation

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud database services (AWS RDS, Azure Cosmos DB)
• Knowledge of containerized database deployments (Docker, Kubernetes)
