About the role

Silverline Labs is preparing a major app store launch that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and fine‑tune the API layer that powers the upcoming release.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop a GraphQL schema that mirrors existing REST endpoints while improving performance.
• Integrate GraphQL resolvers with Node.js services and ensure seamless data flow to React‑based mobile clients.
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define query patterns that reduce over‑fetching.
• Write unit and integration tests, and set up CI pipelines for automated verification.
• Document API contracts and versioning strategy for future extensions.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience building production‑grade GraphQL APIs.
• Strong command of Node.js and modern JavaScript (ES6+).
• Hands‑on work with React front‑ends consuming GraphQL.
• Understanding of REST API concepts and ability to bridge between GraphQL and existing REST services.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Apollo Server or similar tooling.
• Experience optimizing API performance for mobile bandwidth constraints.
• Knowledge of authentication flows (OAuth, JWT) in API contexts.
