About the role

Ridgeline Software is preparing a major app store launch that tightly couples mobile front‑ends with a robust backend. We need a MongoDB Specialist to design and fine‑tune the data layer so the new app delivers instant sync and reliable offline support.

Key responsibilities

• Model data schemas optimized for mobile‑first access patterns
• Implement sharding and indexing strategies to handle burst traffic at launch
• Integrate MongoDB with NodeJS services that power the mobile API
• Set up automated backups, monitoring, and performance alerts
• Collaborate with front‑end engineers to align API contracts and pagination logic

Must-have skills

• Deep experience with MongoDB design, aggregation, and performance tuning
• Proficiency in NodeJS and RESTful API development
• Understanding of mobile data sync challenges and offline strategies
• Strong debugging skills and familiarity with monitoring tools

Nice to have

• Experience with Atlas or self‑hosted clusters in CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of GraphQL gateways for mobile backends
• Background in app store release cycles and scaling considerations
