About the role
Northbay Systems is modernizing a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a seasoned .NET Core developer to redesign core services, implement zero‑downtime deployment patterns, and ensure smooth migration to the cloud.
Key responsibilities
- Refactor legacy .NET Framework code into .NET 6/7 Core microservices
- Design and implement blue‑green and canary release pipelines in Azure
- Integrate existing databases with Azure SQL Managed Instance
- Write unit and integration tests to guarantee stability during cut‑over
- Collaborate with QA and Ops to monitor performance and resolve issues in real time
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of .NET Core development
- Deep knowledge of C# and asynchronous programming
- Hands‑on experience with Azure App Services, Functions, and CI/CD
- Proven track record delivering zero‑downtime migrations
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with Event‑Driven Architecture
- Background in performance tuning of high‑throughput APIs
