About the role

Silverline Labs is building a robust data pipeline to empower operations teams with real‑time analytics. We need a seasoned PostgreSQL Administrator to design, tune, and maintain the core database infrastructure that feeds these pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement high‑performance PostgreSQL clusters for analytics workloads
• Develop automated ETL processes and ensure data integrity across pipelines
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize query performance for large‑scale reporting
• Collaborate with data engineers to integrate PostgreSQL with streaming and batch systems
• Establish backup, recovery, and security best practices

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
• Deep knowledge of partitioning, indexing, and query optimization
• Experience with data pipeline tools (e.g., Airflow, Kafka)
• Strong scripting skills (Bash, Python) for automation
• Understanding of relational data modeling and schema design

Nice to have

• Exposure to MongoDB or MySQL for cross‑database migrations
• Familiarity with cloud services (AWS RDS, GCP Cloud SQL)
• Certification in PostgreSQL Administration
