About the role

Cascade Apps is launching a data pipeline and analytics enablement effort for its operations teams. We need a Terraform Engineer to design, build, and hand over infrastructure that powers reliable data ingestion, transformation, and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and codify AWS resources for scalable data pipelines using Terraform
• Implement CI/CD pipelines to provision, test, and deploy infrastructure changes
• Collaborate with data engineers to ensure environment parity across dev, staging, and prod
• Write reusable modules, enforce naming conventions, and document architecture decisions
• Perform security hardening and cost‑optimization reviews

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of infrastructure automation with Terraform
• Deep experience building data‑focused services on AWS (S3, Glue, Redshift, Kinesis)
• Strong DevOps mindset with CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar)
• Understanding of networking, IAM, and security best practices

Nice to have

• Experience with data lake or lakehouse architectures
• Familiarity with Python or Go for custom providers
• Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools like CloudWatch or Datadog
