About the role
BlueSky Ventures is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. As a Terraform Infrastructure Engineer you will drive the creation of reusable infrastructure modules for the new "Nimbus Release Engine" pipeline, ensuring faster, reliable deployments across AWS environments.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement Terraform modules for VPC, EKS, and CI/CD runner clusters supporting the Nimbus Release Engine.
- Integrate Terraform workflows with GitHub Actions, automating plan‑apply stages and enforcing policy checks via Sentinel.
- Collaborate with the DevOps team to containerize build agents using Docker and publish them to Amazon ECR.
- Set up Terraform Cloud workspaces, configure remote state backends, and establish state locking mechanisms.
- Conduct performance testing of the automated pipeline, delivering measurable reductions in deployment time by week two.
- Document module usage, versioning strategy, and hand‑off procedures for the internal Platform Ops squad.
Must-have skills
- 5+ years of hands‑on Terraform experience in large‑scale AWS environments.
- Deep knowledge of AWS services (VPC, EKS, IAM, S3) and networking concepts.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools, especially GitHub Actions or Jenkins.
- Strong scripting abilities in Bash or Python for automation tasks.
- Experience with Docker containerization and image registry management.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with Sentinel policy as code or Open Policy Agent.
- Exposure to monitoring tools like Prometheus or CloudWatch for pipeline health.
