About the role
Northbay Systems is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a TypeScript Developer on a project‑based contract to audit, patch, and reinforce codebases against emerging threats.
Key responsibilities
- Review existing TypeScript services for security gaps
- Implement input validation, authentication hardening, and secure data handling
- Integrate security libraries and enforce best‑practice patterns
- Collaborate with DevOps to align code changes with infrastructure hardening
- Document findings and provide clear remediation steps
Must-have skills
- Strong proficiency in TypeScript
- Experience building SPAs with Angular or React
- Understanding of OWASP top‑10 and cloud security concepts
- Ability to write clean, testable code and unit tests
Nice to have
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for security scanning
- Knowledge of AWS/GCP security services
