Senior Microservices Architect Needed for End-to-End Microservices Architecture

About the role

CloudWave Digital is undertaking a performance and reliability overhaul of its customer‑facing services. We need a Microservices Architect to design, refactor, and optimize our distributed systems for low latency and high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Assess current microservice landscape and identify bottlenecks
• Design resilient service contracts and API versioning strategy
• Implement container‑native patterns using Docker and Kubernetes
• Introduce circuit‑breaker, bulkhead, and retry mechanisms
• Collaborate with product owners to align reliability goals with business needs
• Guide the team on best practices for observability and automated testing

Must-have skills

• 10+ years building large‑scale microservice ecosystems
• Deep expertise in Docker, Kubernetes orchestration, and Java
• Proven track record improving latency and fault tolerance
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and monitoring tools

Nice to have

• Experience with service mesh technologies (e.g., Istio)
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of chaos engineering practices
