About the role
Summit Digital is launching a brand‑new SaaS platform aimed at remote‑first teams. As a Backend Developer you will shape the core services of the "Nimbus Engine" module, laying the foundation for a scalable, greenfield product.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement RESTful APIs in NodeJS using Express, targeting the first MVP release within six weeks.
- Set up PostgreSQL schemas, write migration scripts, and ensure data integrity for multi‑tenant usage.
- Integrate third‑party authentication (OAuth2) and payment gateways via secure SDKs.
- Configure CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated testing and container deployment.
- Collaborate with frontend engineers to define contract specifications and versioned endpoints.
- Monitor performance with New Relic and implement caching strategies using Redis.
Must-have skills
- NodeJS and JavaScript (ES6+)
- PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
- REST API development and documentation (OpenAPI)
- Docker containerization and basic Kubernetes concepts
- Git workflow and CI/CD automation

- Experience with TypeScript
