About the role

Harbor Softworks is accelerating its release cadence with a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a Database Administrator who can blend schema stewardship with pipeline integration to keep data services fast and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Design and maintain PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL schemas aligned with automated deployment scripts.
• Integrate database change management into CI/CD pipelines using tools like Flyway or Liquibase.
• Monitor performance during sprint releases and fine‑tune queries for optimal latency.
• Collaborate with DevOps engineers to containerize database services where appropriate.
• Document migration procedures and rollback plans for rapid iteration.

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL administration.
• Hands‑on knowledge of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions).
• Proficiency in scripting (Bash, Python) for automation tasks.
• Understanding of database security, backups, and recovery in cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kubernetes‑based database operators.
• Familiarity with Terraform or CloudFormation for infrastructure as code.
• Background in performance testing and query optimization.
