Node.js Developer for High-Volume Platform Modernization

About the role

We are launching a greenfield SaaS product and need a Node.js Developer to shape the core backend from day one. You will join a remote‑first team focused on rapid iteration, high code quality, and scalable architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Node.js and Express
• Collaborate with product and UI teams to define data models and endpoints
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability
• Set up CI pipelines and monitor performance in production
• Document API contracts and onboarding guides for future developers

Must-have skills

• Strong proficiency in NodeJS, Express, and JavaScript
• Experience building and consuming REST APIs
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and agile workflows
• Ability to write clean, maintainable code under tight timelines

Nice to have

• Knowledge of containerization (Docker)
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP)
• Understanding of CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
