About the role

Cascade Apps is gearing up for a major app store launch that demands tight coordination between its mobile front‑end and backend services. As a Prompt Engineer you will shape the AI‑driven query handling that powers the new "PulseSync" module, ensuring seamless data flow and user experience across platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Design and fine‑tune prompt templates for the PulseSync recommendation engine using OpenAI API.
• Integrate prompt outputs with Node.js micro‑services that feed real‑time data to iOS/Android clients.
• Create automated test suites in pytest to validate prompt consistency across API versions.
• Collaborate with mobile developers to embed prompt‑driven features into the Swift and Kotlin codebases.
• Monitor latency and token usage, optimizing prompts to stay within performance SLAs.
• Document prompt versioning strategy and handoff procedures for the release sprint.

Must-have skills

• Proficiency in crafting prompts for LLMs (GPT‑4 or Claude).
• Strong Python scripting for prompt automation.
• Experience with JavaScript/Node.js REST API integration.
• Familiarity with mobile backend patterns and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to analyze token costs and latency metrics.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of LangChain or similar orchestration frameworks.
• Previous work on app store release pipelines.
