About the role
Orbit Labs is revamping the performance and reliability of its flagship customer‑facing services. As a QA Automation Engineer you will lead the testing effort for the new "PulseGuard" module, ensuring fast, stable releases. This short‑term contract focuses on building robust automated suites that can keep up with rapid deployment cycles.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement end‑to‑end Selenium test scripts in JavaScript for the PulseGuard API.
- Integrate tests into the existing Jenkins CI pipeline and configure nightly runs.
- Develop performance regression tests using k6 to benchmark response times under load.
- Collaborate with DevOps to instrument services with Prometheus metrics for automated health checks.
- Identify flaky tests, refactor them, and maintain a stable test flake‑rate below 2%.
- Produce a test coverage report after each sprint and present findings to the engineering lead.
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with Selenium WebDriver and JavaScript.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools, especially Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of API testing and performance testing concepts.
- Ability to write clear, maintainable test code and documentation.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with k6 or JMeter for load testing.
