About the role

BrightMart Solutions is expanding its e‑commerce platform and needs a focused REST API Developer to design and implement new service endpoints. You will work closely with product owners to translate business requirements into clean, scalable APIs that power front‑end experiences and third‑party integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs using NodeJS
• Integrate with PostgreSQL databases and ensure optimal query performance
• Implement authentication, validation, and error handling mechanisms
• Write unit and integration tests to maintain high code quality
• Collaborate with front‑end and DevOps teams for seamless deployment

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Hands‑on knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and querying
• Understanding of API security best practices

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or container orchestration
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Knowledge of GraphQL as an alternative API layer
