About the role

We are creating a scalable data pipeline that feeds real‑time analytics to operations teams. The REST API Developer will design, implement, and document APIs that ingest, transform, and expose data for downstream reporting and dashboards.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and develop secure, high‑throughput REST endpoints using NodeJS
• Integrate PostgreSQL for persistent storage and query optimization
• Collaborate with data engineers to define schema, validation, and error handling
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability under load
• Provide clear API documentation and usage examples for internal consumers

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS and JavaScript
• Proficiency in PostgreSQL design, indexing, and query tuning
• Understanding of data pipeline concepts and streaming patterns
• Ability to work autonomously in a remote, project‑based setting

Nice to have

• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS or GCP
• Knowledge of data visualization tools for analytics hand‑off
