About the role

BrightMart Solutions is modernizing the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services through a blockchain‑backed transaction layer called NexusPay. As a Blockchain Engineer you will redesign smart‑contract execution to cut latency, improve fault tolerance, and ensure data integrity across high‑traffic retail APIs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement gas‑optimized Solidity contracts for the NexusPay module, targeting sub‑100ms confirmation times.
• Integrate contracts with existing Node.js microservices using ethers.js and Web3.js, adding retry logic and circuit‑breaker patterns.
• Set up automated performance testing pipelines in Hardhat, generating load profiles of up to 10,000 concurrent users.
• Collaborate with the DevOps team to deploy contracts on a private Besu network, configuring quorum and Raft consensus for high availability.
• Conduct root‑cause analysis of transaction failures, instrumenting Prometheus metrics and Grafana dashboards for real‑time monitoring.
• Document contract interfaces, upgrade procedures, and rollback strategies in Confluence for cross‑team consumption.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in Solidity and smart‑contract design patterns.
• Proficiency with JavaScript/TypeScript tooling (ethers.js, Hardhat, Truffle).
• Experience deploying and managing private Ethereum networks (e.g., Besu, Geth).
• Strong understanding of blockchain security best practices and gas optimization.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for blockchain artifacts (GitHub Actions, Jenkins).

Nice to have

• Background in Python scripting for off‑chain data validation.
• Knowledge of zero‑knowledge proof frameworks for privacy‑preserving transactions.
