About the role

NovaForge Tech is launching a rapid CI/CD and platform automation sprint to accelerate release cycles. We need a Database Administrator who can design, implement, and fine‑tune data pipelines that integrate seamlessly with our deployment workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Automate schema migrations and data seeding within CI/CD pipelines
• Develop scripts for zero‑downtime rollouts across PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL
• Monitor and optimise database performance during automated releases
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed health checks and backups in the release process
• Document automation standards and handover procedures for future sprints

Must-have skills

• 5+ years managing PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and MySQL in production
• Proven experience building database automation for CI/CD
• Strong SQL/NoSQL query optimisation skills
• Familiarity with containerised environments (Docker, Kubernetes)

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure as code
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
