Senior GraphQL API Developer – Cloud-Native System Integration

About the role

Orbit Labs is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design, implement, and audit secure GraphQL services that protect sensitive data and integrate with existing micro‑services.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop hardened GraphQL endpoints using NodeJS
• Implement authentication, authorization, and rate‑limiting mechanisms
• Conduct security code reviews and threat modeling for API layers
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure CI/CD pipelines
• Document API contracts and security guidelines

Must-have skills

• Strong experience with GraphQL schema design and resolvers
• Proficiency in NodeJS and REST API integration
• Solid understanding of OWASP API Security Top 10
• Experience securing APIs with JWT/OAuth2
• Ability to write clear, testable code and unit tests

Nice to have

• Familiarity with React for API consumption testing
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) security services
• Experience with automated security scanning tools
