About the role

LumenWorks is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a GraphQL API Developer to design and implement a zero‑downtime migration path while preserving existing client integrations.

Key responsibilities

• Architect a GraphQL layer that coexists with current REST endpoints
• Refactor data fetching logic to use DataLoader and batching for performance
• Implement schema stitching to gradually replace legacy services
• Write integration tests and set up CI pipelines for automated rollout
• Collaborate with frontend teams to update React queries without service interruption

Must-have skills

• Deep experience building production‑grade GraphQL APIs
• Proficiency in NodeJS and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
• Strong understanding of REST API concepts and migration strategies
• Hands‑on with React for client‑side query integration

Nice to have

• Familiarity with serverless deployment models
• Experience with zero‑downtime deployment patterns
• Knowledge of monitoring tools like Prometheus or Grafana
