About the role

Silverline Labs is launching a greenfield SaaS product with a remote‑first team. We need a Microservices Architect to design a resilient, scalable backend that will serve as the core of the new platform.

Key responsibilities

• Define microservice boundaries, communication patterns, and data contracts.
• Design and implement containerized services using Docker and orchestrate them with Kubernetes.
• Establish CI/CD pipelines and automated testing for rapid iteration.
• Collaborate with product and front‑end teams to align APIs with business goals.
• Document architecture decisions and create migration strategies for future enhancements.

Must-have skills

• Proven experience designing microservice architectures for SaaS products.
• Deep knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Java ecosystem.
• Strong understanding of API design, security, and observability.
• Ability to work autonomously in a distributed environment.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with event‑driven systems and message brokers.
• Background in performance tuning and cost optimization.
