About the role

Harbor Softworks is building a next‑generation multi‑tenant analytics platform for enterprise clients. The NLP Engineer will own the design and delivery of a new tenant‑aware intent extraction module called "LexiCore" that integrates with the existing B2B product suite. This short‑term contract focuses on rapid feature rollout while maintaining strict data isolation across tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Architect and implement the LexiCore microservice using FastAPI and Docker, ensuring tenant‑specific configuration loading.
• Develop custom tokenization pipelines with spaCy and Hugging Face transformers to support domain‑specific vocabularies.
• Create and expose REST endpoints for real‑time intent classification, with OpenAPI documentation.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines in GitHub Actions for automated testing, linting, and container deployment.
• Collaborate with the data engineering team to integrate tenant data streams from Kafka into the NLP workflow.
• Deliver performance benchmarks and latency reports for each tenant milestone.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of Python development, including FastAPI or Flask.
• Deep experience with spaCy, Transformers, and custom NER pipelines.
• Proficiency in building and scaling REST APIs in a multi‑tenant environment.
• Strong understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD best practices.
• Experience with Kafka or similar streaming platforms.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with AWS SageMaker or Azure ML for model serving.
• Background in B2B SaaS product development.
