Senior Node.js Developer Needed for Event-Driven Backend

About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need a Node.js Developer to redesign core services, introduce modern tooling, and ensure zero‑downtime deployments while preserving existing functionality.

Key responsibilities

• Refactor monolithic Node.js code into modular micro‑services
• Implement blue‑green and canary release pipelines for seamless updates
• Design and document RESTful APIs that replace legacy endpoints
• Write automated tests and integrate them into CI/CD workflows
• Collaborate with DevOps to monitor performance and latency in real time

Must-have skills

• Strong expertise in Node.js and Express
• Deep understanding of JavaScript (ES6+)
• Proven experience building and scaling REST APIs
• Familiarity with zero‑downtime deployment patterns
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Background in legacy system migration
