About the role

AlphaEdge Tech is revamping the performance and reliability of its customer‑facing services. We need a PHP Developer to lead backend optimizations, ensure high availability, and implement robust monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Profile and refactor critical PHP code paths for speed and memory efficiency
• Introduce caching layers (Redis, OPcache) and optimize database queries
• Design and enforce coding standards and automated testing for core services
• Collaborate with DevOps to improve CI/CD pipelines and deployment reliability
• Document performance benchmarks and create alerting dashboards

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development experience
• Deep expertise with Laravel framework
• Advanced MySQL query optimization and schema design
• Proficiency in profiling tools and performance testing

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Redis or Memcached
• Familiarity with New Relic or Prometheus monitoring
