About the role

Orbit Labs is accelerating its release cadence through a focused CI/CD and platform automation sprint. We need a PHP Developer to design, implement, and refine pipelines that enable faster, reliable deployments across our services.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain automated build, test, and deployment pipelines using GitLab CI/CD or similar tools.
• Integrate Laravel applications with container orchestration and infrastructure‑as‑code workflows.
• Optimize database migration strategies and ensure zero‑downtime releases.
• Collaborate with QA and DevOps to embed automated testing and monitoring.
• Document pipeline configurations and share best practices with the team.

Must-have skills

• 5+ years of PHP development experience.
• Deep knowledge of Laravel framework and Composer.
• Strong grasp of MySQL schema design and performance tuning.
• Hands‑on experience with CI/CD tools (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud environments.

Nice to have

• Experience with Terraform or Ansible for infrastructure automation.
• Knowledge of monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana.
• Background in test automation for PHP applications.
