About the role
LumenWorks is launching a greenfield SaaS product and needs a PostgreSQL Administrator to design, deploy, and maintain the core data platform. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and DevOps to ensure high‑performance, secure, and scalable database services from day one.
Key responsibilities
- Architect and implement PostgreSQL clusters for multi‑tenant SaaS workloads
- Automate provisioning, backup, and disaster‑recovery pipelines
- Monitor performance, tune queries, and optimize storage
- Collaborate on schema design and migration strategies
- Enforce security policies, role‑based access, and audit logging
Must-have skills
- 5+ years managing PostgreSQL in production environments
- Strong SQL proficiency and query optimization expertise
- Experience with Linux, Docker, and CI/CD integration
- Knowledge of replication, sharding, and high‑availability setups
Nice to have
- Familiarity with MongoDB or MySQL for hybrid data solutions
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Automation scripting with Bash or Python
