Senior REST API Developer Needed for Partner API Handshake

About the role

NexGen Media is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay live while new services roll out. We need a REST API Developer to design and implement high‑performance endpoints that replace aging code without interrupting current workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Design zero‑downtime migration strategies for existing APIs
• Build new RESTful services in NodeJS, adhering to OpenAPI standards
• Refactor legacy codebases to use PostgreSQL best practices
• Implement automated tests and CI pipelines to ensure reliability
• Collaborate with product owners to prioritize features that unblock critical pipelines

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs with NodeJS
• Proficiency in JavaScript (ES6+)
• Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Docker or Kubernetes for containerized deployments
• Experience with monitoring tools such as Prometheus or Grafana
