About the role
Summit Digital is revamping a legacy production platform that must stay online 24/7. We need an Android developer to refactor key modules, introduce modern architecture, and ensure zero‑downtime releases.
Key responsibilities
- Migrate legacy code to MVVM with Kotlin Coroutines
- Implement feature toggles for seamless rollouts
- Integrate CI pipelines for automated testing and deployment
- Collaborate with backend engineers to align APIs with new client contracts
- Monitor performance and resolve runtime issues in production
Must-have skills
- Strong Kotlin and Java proficiency
- Hands‑on Android SDK experience
- Familiarity with Jetpack components and modern UI patterns
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment strategies
Nice to have
- Experience with Gradle Kotlin DSL
- Knowledge of Retrofit and OkHttp
- Exposure to automated UI testing frameworks
