About the role
Pinecrest Systems is modernizing a legacy production platform with a zero‑downtime mandate. We need a DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and fine‑tune the migration pipeline while keeping services live.
Key responsibilities
- Architect container‑based deployments for existing services
- Build CI/CD workflows that support blue‑green and canary releases
- Automate infrastructure provisioning on AWS using IaC tools
- Monitor performance and implement auto‑scaling policies
- Collaborate with developers to refactor legacy scripts into reproducible pipelines
Must-have skills
- Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration
- Proficiency in AWS services (ECS, EKS, CloudFormation)
- Hands‑on CI/CD pipeline creation (Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar)
- Understanding of zero‑downtime deployment patterns
Nice to have
- Experience with Terraform or Pulumi
- Knowledge of legacy monolith migration strategies
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus or Datadog
