Key Responsibilities

• Translate a wide range of materials from English to target languages, including articles, manuals, and website content.
• Collaborate with editors and proofreaders to review and revise translations for accuracy and quality.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in translation.
• Work with project managers to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Utilize translation software and tools to streamline the translation process and improve efficiency.
• Participate in team meetings and contribute to discussions on translation-related topics.
• Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the company's style guide and terminology.
• Translate audio and video content, including subtitles and closed captions.
• Provide feedback and suggestions for improving the translation process and quality.
• Collaborate with other translators and language experts to share knowledge and best practices.
• Participate in quality control processes to ensure that all translations meet the company's standards.
• Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting.
• Excellent language skills in English and the target language(s).
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with editors, proofreaders, and project managers.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Proficiency in translation software and tools, including CAT tools and translation memory.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
• Certification in translation, such as the Certified Translator (CT) designation.
