About the role

Summit Digital is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a Java Developer to strengthen code, enforce best practices, and support a resilient architecture.

Key responsibilities

• Audit existing Java services for security gaps and implement hardening measures
• Refactor micro‑service components to use secure configuration patterns
• Integrate security libraries and enforce authentication/authorization standards
• Collaborate with cloud engineers to align code changes with infrastructure controls
• Write unit and integration tests that validate security controls

Must-have skills

• Strong Java development experience (3+ years)
• Proficiency with Spring Boot and building microservices
• Hands‑on knowledge of security best practices for cloud applications
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing

Nice to have

• Experience with OWASP guidelines or similar frameworks
• Background in container security or Kubernetes hardening
