Key Responsibilities

• Translate documents, including marketing materials, website content, and internal communications, from English into multiple languages, ensuring high-quality, culturally sensitive translations that meet our clients' expectations.
• Collaborate with project managers, editors, and other translators to ensure consistency and quality in all translations.
• Conduct research to stay up-to-date with industry trends, language developments, and cultural nuances, and apply this knowledge to improve the quality and accuracy of our translations.
• Work with our team to develop and implement translation style guides, glossaries, and other language resources to support our translation services.
• Participate in quality assurance processes, including proofreading and editing, to ensure the highest level of quality in our translations.
• Meet deadlines and deliver high-quality translations in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
• Communicate effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that their needs are met and that we deliver high-quality translations that meet their expectations.
• Stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and managing time effectively to meet deadlines.
• Contribute to the development of our translation team, including mentoring and training junior translators, and participating in team-building activities and professional development initiatives.
• Participate in ongoing education and training to improve language skills, stay current with industry developments, and enhance expertise in translation and localization.
• Collaborate with our sales and marketing teams to identify new business opportunities and develop strategic partnerships with clients and other stakeholders.
• Participate in special projects and initiatives, such as developing new language services, creating marketing materials, and organizing events and conferences.
• Stay up-to-date with new tools, technologies, and methodologies in the translation industry, and apply this knowledge to improve our translation services and stay ahead of the competition.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions, and other collaborative activities to share ideas, best practices, and expertise, and to contribute to the growth and development of our company.

Requirements

• Native fluency in the target language, with excellent writing and translation skills.
• Strong understanding of language, culture, and terminology, with the ability to adapt to different styles, tones, and genres.
• Proven experience in translation, preferably in a professional setting, with a portfolio of translations that demonstrate expertise and quality.
• Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, language developments, and cultural nuances.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, project managers, and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong emphasis on collaboration, teamwork, and mutual support.
• Strong attention to detail, with a focus on quality, accuracy, and consistency in all translations.
• Proficiency in translation tools, such as CAT tools, and experience with language technology, such as machine translation and language learning platforms.
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt to new technologies, tools, and methodologies, with a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
• Certification in translation, such as ATA or ITI, or a related field, with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices.
