About the role

NexGen Media is building a next‑generation content delivery platform that relies on highly available, loosely coupled services. We need an experienced Microservices Architect to design and guide the implementation of a scalable microservice ecosystem that will power real‑time media processing and distribution.

Key responsibilities

• Define the overall microservice architecture, including service boundaries, communication patterns, and data management strategies.
• Design API contracts and integration points using RESTful principles.
• Select and configure container orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes) for deployment and scaling.
• Establish best practices for CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure code aligns with architectural standards.
• Conduct performance reviews and provide guidance for optimization.

Must-have skills

• Deep expertise in microservices design and implementation.
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes for container orchestration.
• Strong Java development background.
• Extensive experience building and consuming REST APIs.
• Track record of scaling distributed systems.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana).
