About the role

Summit Digital is preparing a major app store release that requires tight alignment between mobile front‑ends and backend services. We need a Node.js Developer to design and implement the server side that powers the upcoming mobile experience.

Key responsibilities

• Build scalable REST APIs that serve mobile clients
• Integrate third‑party services for authentication, payments, and analytics
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts and error handling
• Write unit and integration tests to ensure reliability under load
• Document endpoints and deployment procedures for the release team

Must-have skills

• Proficiency with Node.js and Express framework
• Strong JavaScript fundamentals and async programming
• Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs
• Understanding of version control (Git) and CI pipelines

Nice to have

• Familiarity with mobile backend patterns (push notifications, offline sync)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, GCP) for scaling APIs
