About the role

BrightMart Solutions is launching a security hardening initiative for its cloud‑hosted applications. We need a PHP Developer who can audit existing code, implement hardening controls, and ensure compliance with industry best practices.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct security reviews of PHP codebases and identify vulnerability patterns.
• Implement input validation, output escaping, and secure session management.
• Integrate Laravel security packages and configure CSP, CORS, and rate limiting.
• Collaborate with DevOps to enforce secure deployment pipelines and secrets management.
• Document findings and provide remediation guides for the engineering team.

Must-have skills

• 3+ years of PHP development, strong Laravel experience.
• Deep understanding of OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices.
• Proficiency with MySQL security features and query hardening.
• Experience securing cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with automated security testing tools (e.g., Snyk, Brakeman).
• Knowledge of container security and Docker hardening.
