About the role

Northbay Systems is preparing an upcoming app store release that requires tight mobile and backend integration. We need a PHP Developer to shape the server side, ensure API stability, and align data flows with the mobile client.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs that power the mobile app
• Integrate third‑party services and payment gateways
• Optimize database queries for high‑traffic scenarios
• Collaborate with mobile engineers to define data contracts
• Write unit and integration tests to guarantee release quality

Must-have skills

• Strong PHP experience with Laravel framework
• Proficient in MySQL schema design and query optimization
• Understanding of API versioning and authentication (OAuth, JWT)
• Ability to work independently and meet sprint deadlines

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker or container orchestration
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines for PHP projects
• Knowledge of mobile app lifecycle and push notification services
