About the role

LumenWorks is launching a brand‑new greenfield SaaS product. We need a Python Backend Developer to shape the core services from the ground up, ensuring scalability and clean architecture for a remote‑first team.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement RESTful APIs using Django and Django REST Framework
• Model and optimize PostgreSQL schemas for high‑throughput workloads
• Write automated tests and set up CI pipelines for continuous delivery
• Collaborate with front‑end, product, and DevOps peers to define service contracts
• Document API specs and contribute to technical design docs

Must-have skills

• Strong Python proficiency with 3+ years of backend development
• Hands‑on experience with Django and building REST APIs
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL performance tuning
• Familiarity with version control (Git) and CI/CD concepts

Nice to have

• Experience with Docker and container orchestration
• Knowledge of async programming (asyncio, FastAPI)
• Background in building SaaS platforms for remote teams
