About the role

Summit Digital is building a data pipeline that powers analytics for operations teams. We need a REST API Developer to design and implement services that ingest, transform, and expose data in real time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and document RESTful APIs using NodeJS
• Integrate with PostgreSQL for high‑throughput data storage
• Implement data validation, error handling, and logging
• Collaborate with data engineers to align API contracts with pipeline requirements
• Optimize endpoints for low latency and scalability

Must-have skills

• Strong experience building REST APIs in NodeJS
• Proficiency with JavaScript (ES6+)
• Solid understanding of PostgreSQL schema design and query optimization
• Familiarity with JSON, HTTP standards, and authentication mechanisms

Nice to have

• Experience with data streaming platforms (e.g., Kafka)
• Knowledge of containerization (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines
• Background in analytics enablement for operations
